Differentiation

Differentiation provides an opportunity for farmers to capitalise on the growing consumer interest in British food.

The Market Info section (see link on left hand side) provides farmers and food producers with background information on how consumer tastes and habits are changing.

It contains short descriptions and charts from published sources showing how the food market is developing and how consumption habits differ within our society.  There is a self-help section and links to free data sources.

For those requiring detailed consumer insight a service is available through the ‘dunnhumby Academy of Consumer Research’ at Kent Business School. The Academy gives farmers access to market data derived from 1.2 million shoppers. Look within the Market Info section (see left hand side for link) for further details.

We are working with the Academy to promote the commercial benefits to farmers of using good market intelligence.
