Business Strategy

The Farm Scorecard can help businesses develop a clear competitive strategy.  Competitive strategy is about being different – creating a unique position that is different from rivals’.

A competitive strategy is also more than just for today but has a time horizon of 5-10 years.  It involves doing many things well, but for most businesses these boil down to its customers, people, production and finance.

Our Farm Scorecard also deals with performance measurement.  Collecting information on each of the above business areas provides a way of telling whether the business is on course to achieve its strategy.

The Farm Scorecard takes you through different ways of thinking about strategy development.  It includes a description of these methods and a series of coached questions in the form of Worksheets that help farmers realise their competitive edge.
